Crunchy coated peanuts

Peanuts are a great healthy snack. My cousins in Tanzania taught us a different recipe that coats them in egg and flour. Crunchy, yummy....you can take it to work, school, for a picnic or just lazying around at home.

Peanuts are a great healthy snack. My cousins in Tanzania taught us a different recipe that coats them in egg and flour. Crunchy, yummy....you can take it to work, school, for a picnic or just lazying around at home.

Mix flour with chilli powder set aside. Wash your nuts and leave them to drain. Beat your egg, with sugar, baking powder and salt.

Coat peanuts with the egg mixture well. Then add the flour mixture gradually. Ensuring that all are coated and are not in lumps. Sieve/remove any excess flour that settles at the bottom of the bowl/basin.

Heat oil in a pan. Test with one peanut if it rises up the oil is ready. Fry your nuts in batches to a golden brown/yellow colour and crunchy. Drain on paper towel.
