‘Daal Saag’ is an authentic recipe made with Chane ka Saag which arrives during winters. This recipe is a part of the Central Indian cuisine. Chana saag is cooked with Urad daal and Rice which adds more flavour to it. It is not only comforting but also warms up the palate as well as the body.Served with Makke ki roti or rice, it tastes delicious.

Clean the Chana saag, finely chop it and wash thoroughly.Grate ginger and finely chop the Garlic and Green Chillies.Wash the Rice and Urad daal.Put all the above ingredients, water and salt in a pressure cooker and cook for 15-20 minutes.It is to be cooked on low flame after one whistle.Switch off the flame.

In a pan add desi Ghee, jeera, Green Chillies and Garlic. Stir for a minute and add the cooked Daal Saag to the pan.

Cook for another minute.
Healthy flavourful Daal Saag is ready to serve.
