Steps
- 1
Wash the rice and soak overnight
- 2
In the morning take it for grinding. The paste shouldn't be watery because you'll add in some liquids afterwards.
- 3
Prove the yeast. This is done by adding yeast and sugar with some warm water and kept in a warm place
- 4
This is the proved yeast. It should double in size
- 5
Add the proved yeast to the rice paste and cover to rise. It should rise with bubbles on top
- 6
Add in the remaining sugar. The total sugar used is above in the ingredients box
- 7
Add the soaked potash. You'll simply do it by putting the potash in water overnight to dissolve.
- 8
Add the measured baking powder
- 9
Cut the onions and add too
- 10
And now add your precooked rice and mix all thoroughly
- 11
On fire, put the masa pan and add sufficient oil. Put the paste and allow to fry on both sides
- 12
This is the end product. Note that, you can add more water if the batter is too thick. The end product should be soft and fluffy from the inside and crispy on the outside. Enjoy :)
