Steps

First clean and soaked moth and chana dal for 4 hours. After 4 hours now cook in pressure cooker till 2-3 whistles with water.

Take a kadhai add oil,cumin seeds,bay leaf,ginger garlic for few seconds,after this add onion and cook it 2 mins. After this add tomato,salt,green chilli and cook 3 mins,after this add turmeric powder,tadka masala and cook it 4 -5 mins.

Now add boiled daal,garam masala, and water (if required)now boil for 5 mins switch off the flame add sugar,coriander powder and it's ready.
