Heat oil and temper cumin seeds and bay leaf

Add vegetables and saute well.

Add salt and stir well.

As the vegetables get soft add the rice and mix.

Add sugar,salt and garam masala powder and mix.

Serve it hot with curry or any kind of side dish.
