Cooking Instructions
- 1
This note is for my beautiful children. Gather all your ingredients and read the entire recipe before starting.
- 2
Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- 3
Turn up heat and Cook and stir chicken, carrots, broccoli in melted butter until chicken is cooked through 7 to 10 minutes. Don’t over cook the chicken and the vegies should still be a little crunchy.
- 4
Remove mixture to a bowl and return skillet to medium heat.
- 5
Scramble egg in the skillet until completely set. Return the chicken mixture to the skillet. Along with all the juices in the bottom of the bowl.
- 6
Don’t lick the bowl.
- 7
Stir in rice, soy sauce, garlic and ginger and cook and stir until heated through. 7 to 10 minutes. Don’t walk away from the skillet as you’ll burn it or dry it out. It should smell fantastic.
- 8
Sprinkle mixture with chopped green onions. Chopping them on the bias looks prettier but not necessary. Nope I’m not telling you what bias means.
- 9
Serve immediately in a deep bowl.
- 10
If you don’t like the vegies in the recipe use what you have but remember that the carrots add sweetness and the broccoli is good for you.
- 11
And always be happy when your cooking as it will make your food taste better.
- 12
Have fun.

I call this a hungry-man's version because of the extra amount of chicken. Quick and easy main course. Do use toasted sesame oil for that classic flavor and don't use cheap kikoman soy-get the good fermented stuff! jessicadpaxton -

Chicken Fried Rice Chicken Fried Rice
Fried rice is very common breakfast for me and my family. Most fried rice has brown color due to soy sauce, but some people have their own choice on the fair version by skipping the soy sauce.anyway both are delicious :) Koki Kikuk = Clumsy Cook
