Ingredients

  1. 2 CupsOatmeal
  2. 2 CupsFlour
  3. 1 1/4 CupsBrown Sugar
  4. 2/3 CupButtermilk
  5. 1 1/4 CupsMelted Butter
  6. 3Eggs
  7. 1 Cupor 5 Ounces Dried Blueberries
  8. 1 1/2 TeaspoonBaking Powder
  9. 1 TeaspoonBaking Soda
  10. 1/2 TeaspoonSalt
  11. 1 TeaspoonNutmeg
  12. 2 TeaspoonCinnamon
  13. 1 TeaspoonCloves
  14. 1 TeaspoonVanilla Extract
  15. 1 TeaspoonLemon Juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 325°

  2. 2

    Hold out a little flour for dredging blueberries

  3. 3

    In a large mixing bowl combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves, then mix well

  4. 4

    In a smaller mixing bowl, add eggs and beat well

  5. 5

    Add melted butter, buttermilk, lemon juice and vanilla extract to eggs and mix well

  6. 6

    Add mixed wet ingredients to large mixing bowl with dry ingredients and mix well

  7. 7

    In a seperate bowl dredge blueberries

  8. 8

    Add dredged blueberries and mix well

  9. 9

    Refrigerate cookie dough for approximately 30 minutes to an hour until cookie dough has thickened

  10. 10

    Spoon cookie dough onto cookie sheets and place in the oven

  11. 11

    Bake at 325° for 17-20 minutes
