Steps

Lightly grease the baking tray. Preheat oven.

Mix the ingredients following the rubbing in method.

Roll the dough on a floured board to 1cm thick. Cut into required shapes.

Put them on greased run, leaving enough space for expansion.

Brush with beaten egg or milk to produce glossy appearance.

Bake for about 25 minutes at a temperature of about 180 degrees.

Bake the scones at top of the oven until golden brown.
- 8
Remove the scones from the oven and cool them on a cooling rack.
