Add the milk, sugar, allspice and mix with the lightly beaten egg.

Lightly soak the slices of bread into the mix. Make sure the slices of bread do not get soggy.

Heat the pan. Add butter then place the soaked bread and fry till crisp and golden brown.

Enjoy the crisp and golden brown french toast with a mug of freshly brewed tea.
