Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsyellow moong daal
  2. 3-4 tsprice flour
  3. 2 tspsemolina
  4. to tasteSalt and red chilli powder
  5. 1 tspwhole cumin seeds
  6. For masala aloo
  7. 4boiled potatoes
  8. 1chopped onions
  9. 1 tspmustard seeds
  10. 5-6curry leave
  11. 1green chilli finely chopped
  12. 1 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1 tspturmeric powder
  14. 2 tspcoriander powder
  15. to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Grind the soaked moong daal with minimum use of water

  2. 2

    Take it out in a bowl
    Add semolina and rice flour

  3. 3

    Beat nicely with a big spoon or hand

  4. 4

    Add cumin seeds
    Salt and chilli

  5. 5

    Let it rest for 5-10 minutes

    Keep a pan or tawa on the flame

  6. 6

    Make cheelas with the ready batter when tawa is hot in the same way as we make dosas

  7. 7

    Prepare aloo masala separately in a pan
    By adding oil, mustard seeds when it crackles

  8. 8

    Chopped onions, curry leaves green chilli etc
    Sauté for a while

  9. 9

    Add turmeric, red chilli,coriander powder and salt
    Stir
    Add slightly mashed potatoes

  10. 10

    Mix well
    Cover it so that everything gets incorporated well

  11. 11

    Masala aloo is ready
    Stuff them in cheelas

  12. 12

    Serve hot
