Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupgram flour (besan)
  2. To tastesalt as per taste
  3. 1/4 tablespoonturmeric powder
  4. 2 tablespoonsghee or oil
  5. 1/2 tablespooneno
  6. 3 tablespoons tomato sauce/ or tomato puree
  7. 2 tablespoonssugar
  8. To tastered chilli powder
  9. 1 tablespoonsesame seeds
  10. Somechopped coriander leaves
  11. 2chopped green chillies
  12. 1/4 tablespoonmustard seeds

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Take a bowl add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder and water and make a smooth and lumpless batter.

  2. 2

    And allow it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    At the same time take a pan and heat 1 table spoon ghee then add mustard seeds than tomato puree and boil it for 2 minutes than add sugar, salt, red chilli powder, sesame and chopped green chilli and boil again for 5 minutes and turn off the gas than add chopped coriander leaves.

    Now take dhokla batter and add eno powder and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now grease the idli moulds.

  6. 6

    Pour the batter in idli moulds and steam the dhokla. for 15 - 17 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve marwadi dhokla with tomato chutney or tomato sauce.
