Shallow fry moong dal

Wash rice and add the moong dal

In a cooker add rice and dal along with hing and pressure cook for three whistle. For this measurement add 3 cup of water.

Once it's boiled keep it aside, in a kadai add ghee then add pepper, Jeera, cashews and curry leaves

Add the tadka in the rice and dal along with salt and additional spoon of ghee I like Pongal with more ghee....

Pongal is ready can be served with pickle or coconut chutney
