Add sugar to the water and set in a pot to boil on medium flame

Melt ghee and add atta to it. Roast on low flame till it turns brown. Continue stirring flour and ghee mixture while sugar boils to make light syrup.

As you will keep stirring it on low flame, colour of flour will keep getting darker

I like nice brown colour of halwa so I roast the flour for good 15-20 min on low flame

Roughly chop the nuts of your choice

ADD nuts to the flour being roasted

Keep roasting fr another 2-3 minutes

Now carefully add the boiled sugar syrup. Bubbles will rise so be careful and flame should be high. Keep stirring to avoid making of lumps

Halwa will take form of a lump and ghee will leave the sides of the pan

Hot halwa is ready to relish. Can garnish with more nuts.
