It's nutricious, delicious and healthy. It's rich in fiber , loaded with vitamins and protien. Also it's much lighter on stomach for simple dinner.

Ingredients

20 mins
  1. 1/2 cupDalia/ Broken Wheat
  2. 1/4 cupSplit Green Moong Dal
  3. 1/4 cup Toor Dal
  4. 1 cloveGarlic Minced
  5. 1onions finely chopped
  6. 1/4 cupCarrot finely chopped
  7. 1/8 cupgreen peas
  8. 1Tomato chopped
  9. 1/4 cup Potato finely chopped
  10. 2 tbsp oil for tampering
  11. 1/2 tspSalt
  12. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1/8 tspmustard seeds
  15. 1 tsp green chilli chopped

Steps

20 mins
  1. 1

    Wash and soak dalia and dal together for 30 mins (min).

  2. 2

    In a pressure cooker, add ghee/oil, add mustard seeds, garlic and onions. Saute well untill onion turns pink.

  3. 3

    Now add potato, carrots and peas. Add salt and cover and cook for 2-3 mins.

  4. 4

    Add tomatoes, green chilli and cover again. Tomatoes will get mushy after 4-5 mins.

  5. 5

    Now add all spices - turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala (optional).

  6. 6

    Next add water (1.5-2 cups) and soaked dal and dalia.
    Cover lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

  7. 7

    Now while serving pour a tbsp of hot ghee on top.
    Ghee gives it amazing Rich taste and aroma.

  8. 8

    Serve Hot with curd or curry of your choice.
