Dal tadka is one of the most popular recipe served in Indian restaurants. Here is how to make a simple and tasty Dal Tadka Dhaba style.
Steps

Wash the Tuar Dal and add it in the pressure cooker.

Add 3 cups of water and salt to taste, pressure cooker until Dal is nicely cooked.

Heat Oil in the pan.

Once the oil is hot add onion and fry until slightly browned
- 5
Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for a minute.

Add green chilli and tomato and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Now add turmeric powder and red chilli powder
- 8
Now add the cooked dal and adjust the amount of water and salt and bring the Dal to boil. Add lemon juice and mix well.

For tempering, heat ghee in a pan once the ghee is hot add cumin seeds Hing, curry leaves,a pinch of red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Let them crackle for few seconds.

Pour the tempering over the dal.
