Ingredients

  1. For the dough
  2. Flour 500grm
  3. 250grm Margirine
  4. 1 tspbaking powder
  5. Salt
  6. Water
  7. The filling
  8. 1 kgminced meat
  9. 1/2 tspgarlic
  10. 5potatoes
  11. 1big onion
  12. 1/4 cupParsley chopped
  13. Diced Green bell pepper
  14. Curry
  15. Black pepper
  16. 2 tbspcorn flour (to make a binder)
  17. Scott bonnet

    Preparing the filling. Chop or mince the onions. Wash and peel the potatoes and cut it In to tiny cubes.

    Heat the veg oil on a medium heat then add the chop onions and garlic stir fry a bit. Add the minced meat to the pot and stir well till the looses its pink colour.

    Now add water to the pot add the Scott bonnet, salt and curry powder, cover the pot and leave it for about 15 minutes and until the meat is soft. Add the diced potatoes salt and leave it to cook if u have carrot add them 2geda when the vegetables are done lastly add the chopped parsley, pepper a stir and cover it to 5 minutes.dissolved the corn flour pour it into the meat mixture and mix thoroughly stir well to until incorporated. Keep it a side to cool completely.

    Dough: sieve the flour into a bowl add salt baking powder and mix well. Add the margarine and mix thoroughly until the mixture look more like bread crumbs. Now gradually add a little water bit by bit and keep on mixing until u get a stiff dough.

    Knead the dough until smooth and leave to rest for 5 minutes.then place on a lightly floured surface. Using rolling pin roll the dough on the table.

    Used the meat pie cutter and Cut the circle press it in the centre of the cutter scoop some meat pie filling in the centre of the dough and press the cutter cut the excess.

    Rub the egg wash on the meat pie. I used local bake to bake my meat pie and is about 30/40 minutes.

    I used the aluminium pot dat has hole at the centre. To bake my meat pie. Enjoy.
