My children love burgers that I've made and since I'm cutting wheat out if my diet, I decided to make the 'buns' out of rice.

My children love burgers that I've made and since I'm cutting wheat out if my diet, I decided to make the 'buns' out of rice.

Into the mince meat, add the flour, salt, onion,pepper, eggs and breadcrumbs. You can add any other spice to your taste

Mix well using your clean hand or a spatula. Set aside

Scoop a spoonful of the mixture and grill 3 mins each side...on your chapati pan or a cast iron skillet.

Press down with a flat spoon to flatten and shape your burger and if it cracks on the side, just push it back with your spoon

Remove from pan and repeat for the other burger patties.

How to make the buns

Press down(hard) some rice into an oiled dish using an oiled spoon and turn out onto a plate.

Setting up

Layer the rice, ketchup, caramelized onions and tomatoes. Place a burger on top and call the children.

Serve with salad
