1. Soak urad dal for 1 hour. Drain and grind it into smooth batter. Sprinkle water when you grind. don't pour water. May be you can sprinkle 1tbsp of water. Keep this in a bowl.
2. Now mix chopped onion, green chilli, cumin, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add enough salt. Keep this aside.

3. Heat oil in medium flame. Once it hot take a small portion of batter make a round shape and put small hole in the middle drop in the hot oil. Deep fry untill it cooked properly and it change to light golden colour.
4. Dry excessive oil in tissue paper and have with coconut chutney and sambar.
