Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupall purpose flour(maida)
  2. 1/3 tspbaking powder
  3. 1 1/2 tbspyogurt
  4. 1/8 tspgreen cardamom powder
  5. 1 cupwater
  6. 2 pinchYellow/red food colour
  7. For syrup-:
  8. 2 cupsugar
  9. 1 cupwater
  10. 1/8 tspcardamom
  11. For Fry-:
  12. As neededOil for deep fry
  13. 1 tbspghee

Steps

  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl, mix maida,curd.then add water.mix well in round circular directions for 4 minutes.

    Now add baking soda and give a gentle mix.now add food colour.mix well.now pour this batter in the tomato ketchup bottles carefully.

    Heat oil in a pan and add 1 tbsp of ghee.squeeze the bottle and make round spirals with the batter.

    When one side is partly cooked, turn over and fry the other side.
    fry till the jalebis are a light golden.

  5. 5

    Then immediately drop the fried jalebis in the warm sugar syrup for 30 seconds (1 string consistency).

    Finally, serve jalebis hot, warm or at room temperature.
