Old fashioned Southern Tea Cakes
My mom would serve these with chicken and dumplings when we were kids. With seven kids in the house, most of our treats were home made. Mom doesn't generally follow a recipe when she makes her tea cakes, but goes by the feel and consistency of the dough. This recipe is my recreation of her awesome cookies. I comes pretty close to the taste I remember.
