Ingredients

30-40 mins
4 servings
  1. 500 gchicken
  2. 1small onion
  3. 1small piece of ginger
  4. 2-3garlic cloves
  5. 1-2green chillies
  6. 8-10whole black pepper
  7. 1bay leaf
  8. 2 piecesgreen cardamom
  9. 1small piece cinnamon stick
  10. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  12. 1-2 tspcurd
  13. 1-2 tspcream
  14. 1/2 tspsugar
  15. 1/2 tspkasuri methi for garnishing
  16. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl take the chicken pieces and wash it properly. Drain the water and keep aside

    In a blender add roughly chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, blackpepper and blend this to a fine paste.

    Now in a pan, add 2 tsp oil, add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon and saute for few seconds. Add the paste (prepared) and saute for few seconds. Now add salt, chilli powder and mix it. Add curd and mix it. Now add the chicken pieces and mix it. Then cover the pan with lid for 3-4 minutes to let the chicken cooked. When chicken are lightly soft, add water, sugar and stir to mix them properly. Now cover it with lid and keep for cooking. Once the chicken is completely cooked, sprinkle garam masala.

    Now switch of the flame. Transfer the chicken preparation into a Serving bowl. Garnish with cream and kasuri methi (powder)
