During pregnancy we crave for chocolatey desserts. Generally they seem to be unhealthy. But how about making them nutritious at home and try them out???
According to Science Pumpkins are highly nutritious and rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants. They may have fewer calories, but are a good sauce of vitamin A, vitamin B-6, vitamin C, Iron and Zinc. Seeds have immense health benefits for a pregnant woman. These seeds are power-packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and omega-3 fatty acids. 100 grams of pumpkin has approximately 26 calories and contains no cholesterol or saturated fats. Good quality cocoa is also said to be nutritious for a pregnant woman. So here I am representing a recipe that truly suits for a pregnant woman cravings.

Shift together salt, flour, cocoa, pumpkin seeds powder, baking soda, baking powder and keep aside.

Mix all dry ingredients. Beat sugar, oil and keep aside. In milk add lemon juice and keep aside for 5 mins. Now add milk,lemon mixture in sugar oil mixture. Mix well add vanilla essence.

Gradually add dry ingredients into wet and combine well. Make a cake batter.

In a circular greased mould add batter. In a preheated oven at 180°c bake the cake for 35-40 mins.

After baking cool down the cake. Slice it. Apply sugar syrup nad cocoa whipped cream and stack.

Ice with cocoa whipped cream icing and Hershey chocolate syrup and keep in fridge. Serve chilled.
