Shakshouka is traditiobal Middle East meal. It's all about tomato sauce and egg. As a cheese lover, I add cheese and make the meal as quick as possible for a breakfast.

Make tomato sauce : prepare chopped shallots

Make tomato sauce : prepare sliced tomato

Make tomato sauce : stir chopped shallot with olive oil

Add tomato and seasonings. Stir. Add water if needed. Keep cooking until it get thick.

Meanwhile, slice your cheese so it can melt easily. Or if you are lazy, use parmesan or emmental cheese.

Your tomato sauce is ready

Carefully crack 2 eggs and pour into tomato sauce.

Lower the heat and cover the pan for 30 seconds.

It depends on you how you eggs will be. I prefer more than just "poached".

Put cheese over eggs and sauce. You can cover to make cheese melt faster.

Serve with toasts or bread, even cracker !
