Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  • 1 boxpork bone broth
  • 1serving noodles
  • 6fresh shrimp
  • 1squid
  • 2 headsbaby bok choy
  • 1/2onion
  • 1/2zucchini
  • 1/2carrot
  • [Seasonings]
  • 1 teaspoonchili oil
  • 1 teaspoonchili paste
  • 1 teaspoonKorean chili powder
  • 1 teaspoonminced garlic

    Prepare the ingredients. Peel and julienne the carrot; julienne the zucchini and onion. Clean the shrimp, squid, and baby bok choy. Blanch all ingredients except the onion and set aside. Cook the noodles, drain, and place them in a large bowl.

    The three main seasonings for jjamppong are chili oil, Korean chili powder, and chili paste.

    Wash and julienne the zucchini, set aside.

    Clean the baby bok choy and set aside.

    Clean the shrimp, trim the antennae, peel (leaving the head and tail on), and devein. (You can also leave the shells on for extra flavor.)

    Arrange the blanched baby bok choy, carrot, and zucchini on top of the cooked noodles. (Feel free to add some bean sprouts if you like.)

    Heat a pan and add the chili oil. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, then add the onion and stir-fry.

    Add the shrimp and squid to the pan and stir-fry briefly.

    Add the chili powder and chili paste, stir-fry, then pour in the pork bone broth and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat.
