Ingredients

  1. 1 kgprawns cleaned
  2. 3medium sized onions
  3. 1 inchCinnamon stick
  4. 4-5cloves
  5. 6-8peppercorns
  6. 2green chillies slit
  7. 1Bay leaf
  8. 1 tspzeera
  9. 2 tbspginger garlic paste
  10. 1 tbspgreen chutney
  11. 1 tbspred chilli paste
  12. 2 tspgaram masala powder
  13. 2 cupsrice
  14. 4 cupscoconut milk removed from one coconut
  15. 3potatoes skinned and cut in 4 pieces each
  16. Handfulmint leaves
  17. 4 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a vessel. Add the whole garam masala, zeera, green chillies and onion. Saute till the onions turn golden in colour.

    Add ginger garlic paste, green chutney, red chutney, garam masala powder. Mix well. Add the potatoes and saute for few minutes. Add half of the mint leaves. Add little water and cook till potatoes are half done.

    Add the prawns and mix well. Cook for a few minutes. Now add the coconut milk and let it boil. Once it boils add the washed rice. Adjust the salt as per your rice quantity. Add the remaining mint leaves.

    Cook on high flame till the water is almost dry. Cover and cook on simmer till done. Enjoy!
