Cooking Instructions

Soak the dal overnight and boil it in pressure cooker till 2-3 whistles

Heat a pan with some oil and add the cumin seeds, bay leaves and red chillies. Once it crackles fry the onions and tomatoes cut into small pieces. Once golden brown remove and keep it aside to cool

Once cool make a paste of the fried items from step2. Add some more oil into the pan and add the paste and saute it for a while. Add all the powder masalas and ginger garlic paste into this and mix well.

Put the curd and cook the masala till oil starts leaving. Add the boiled dal and mix well. Add salt, sugar and water as needed and bring to a boil.

Once it reaches right consistency add garam masala and remove. Put cream from top for decoration and garnish with coriander. Serve hot with rotis and parathas.
