Heat a pan dry roast the Chana Dal till it change it colour and than soak it in water for 2 hours..

Cut the coconut into small pieces and remove it outer shell (black colour).. take a mixer add pieces of coconut little water and salt and grind it nicely in a paste..

Take a pan add oil heat it nicely than add Rai and curry leaves and add this to coconut paste..

Coconut chutney is ready to serve.. Enjoy it with idli uttapam fosa or with jeera rice..
