This is traditional Bengali Petha/ sweet delicacy, Bengalis enjoy it during Baishakh festival or in any of their festival, it is also one of the most favourite sweet delicacy of Bengalis during winter.
Steps

Take a deep bottomed pan in the gas, add 1 cup water, desiccated coconut in it. After first boil add semoilna. Take the mixture off from the gas when the semoilna has boiled.

Cool the mixture, add some water in it & make a smooth dough out of it ensuing there are no lumps of semoilna.

Take small pieces from the dough, apply oil in palms & make designs in the pieces using fork.

Take another pan in the gas, add 1 cup water, sugar, cardamom & make a one string consistency sugar syrup out of it.

Heat oil in another pan, deep fry the Pethas & immediately soak them in lukewarm sugar syrup.

Enjoy the Pakkan Petha once they are soaked properly in the sugar syrup.
