This is a great make-ahead dish for summer—enjoy delicious, chilled shrimp without breaking a sweat!

First, cook the shrimp until done. Separately, bring the seasoning mixture to a boil. Let both cool completely. Add the Shaoxing wine to the seasoning mixture only after it has cooled.

Mix the cooled seasoning mixture with the Shaoxing wine in a container and set aside.

Place the cooked, cooled shrimp into the cooled herbal wine mixture. Refrigerate and let soak for one day before serving. The longer it chills, the more flavorful it becomes.
