Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbottle gourd chopped
  2. 2 tbsp gram dal
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1green chilli
  5. 5-6curry leaves
  6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tspred chilli pwder
  8. 1 tspcoriander powder
  9. 1small tomato
  10. 1/2 tspdrymango powder
  11. as requiredSalt
  12. 1 tspMustard seeds
  13. 1 tspCumin seeds
  14. 1 pinchAsafoetida

Cooking Instructions

    Peel bottle gourd and taste it if it tastes bitter don't use it. Otherwise cut in cubes.

    Wash gram dal and soak it in water for 1/2 an hour minimum.

    Now pressure cook dal and bottle gourd till one whistle adding few drops of oil, salt, turmeric pwder and Asafoetida in it

    Heat oil in kadhai add mustard and cumin seeds, add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and chopped tomato in it. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli pwder, coriander pwder in it.

    Add boiled gram dal and bottle gourd in it and cook it till 1 -2 boiling.

    Serve with chapati
