Ice cream cake

Was craving something something different than Oreo ice cream and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it as much as I do.

This cake is so darn good and incredibly easy!! The cake mix and ice cream possibilities are endless!! We went with white cake and vanilla ice cream so we could dye it green for St Patty's day.

My kids requested a birthday cake, so following their request, I finally came up with this type of cake. Since it's ice cream, it can be stored in the freezer for a good amount of time. It can be cut into individual slices so that it's easy to eat.Make sure you don't forget to make space in the freezer. You can freeze the cookie dough before or after shaping it, so use your time wisely and plan out when to make it. For 25 x 16 x 5cm [9.8 x 6.3 x 2.0 in] cake pan ~ cut into 20 pieces. A friend taught me this recipe, which I love very much. After many experimentations and making minor adjustments along the way (I probably made this over 10 times), I finally came up with a recipe that tastes just how I like it.If you have rum-preserved raisins on hand, you could use the rum which the raisins were preserved in, instead of using ordinary rum. But, if you use the raisins soaked in rum, the flavor of alcohol will be too strong, making it taste bitter. I wanted to make some ice cream with berries that I harvested. I don't want to eat uncooked eggs since I'm afraid of salmonella poisoning, so I came up with a recipe for an egg-free frozen cake. Italian frozen desserts like cassata and semifreddo gave me inspiration for the idea.I used a loaf pan (21 x 11 x 6 cm) for the cake mold. This recipe makes many servings, so if you need to reduce the amount, I recommend reducing all ingredients by 1/2.You can use a rectangular cake pan for the mold instead. A milk carton might also work. Add liqueur if you like.For the base, use your choice of cake such as sponge cake. You may even use many small strips of sliced sponge cake. Recipe by KT121

I tried to come up with a recipe to use canned fruit. I decided to use them to flavour an ice cream cake recipe that I had already uploaded.Use whatever brand of canned fruits you like. The surface of the cake will be a bit wobbly when you take it out of the tin but if you freeze it again, it'll come out fine. If you line the tin with cling film whilst the cake freezes, it will make it easier to take out afterwards but may make the surface of the cake bumpy, so I recommend not lining it. My oldest son loves Whoppers and ice cream cake, so this was the perfect choice as his birthday cake! He (and his friends! ) loved it so much he stole a piece before i could take the picture. ..kids!
