Steps

Rinse the rice and soak in enough water for 15 minutes.

Take milk in a pan and keep on medium flame, stir a while.

Take 1 tbsp milk from the pan in a small bowl, add saffron strands in the milk, keep aside.

After the milk begins to boil add the rice and cook well.

When the rice 90% done then add condensed milk and mix very well.

Now add saffron infused milk,, cardamom powder and chopped nuts.

When the rice kheer thickens and completely cooked, switch off the flame.
- 8
Garnish with some chopped nuts and serve the rice kheer warm or chilled.
