Steps
- 1
Wash and soak 1 cup chana dal and set aside.
- 2
Wash and chop 1 bunch of spinach and keep aside.
- 3
In a pressure cooker, add oil.
- 4
Add chopped garlic and let it turn light brown. Add sliced onions.
- 5
On medium flame let the onion turn pink in colour.
- 6
Now add chopped spinach, tomatoes, green chillies, soaked dal, salt and water. Cover and cook for 4-5 whistles.
- 7
Let the cooker cool down. Check if dal is cooked properly.
- 8
Now with wooden hand whisk, just blend in the dal and sabji properly. Dont use electric hand blender. We need coarse mixed dal.
