These Taiwanese pink guava are supposed to be sweeter than the normal white flesh type.

Mine wasn’t very sweet but the vibrant colours do make up for it.

In the packaging is a small packet of plum powder which is used as seasoning.

If you can get the Indian varieties, do give them a try too. They are smaller but sweeter.

Ingredients

  1. 1pink guava
  2. Plum powder
  3. Yuzu/fruit wine vinegar
  4. Osmanthus sugar (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice the guava to even pieces (wedges).

  2. 2

    Add the seasoning. The Yuzu wine vinegar gives dimension to the fruit. And sugar balances the saltiness of the plum powder.

  3. 3

    Enjoy them on its own or pair them with some BBQ meats! Wonderful.
