Gnocchi alla Sorrentina in Microwave Jar Cooking

This recipe for Gnocchi alla Sorrentina cooked in jars in the microwave is ready in just 5 minutes and can be stored perfectly in the refrigerator for over a week, thanks to the vacuum created during jar cooking. To serve, simply reheat the jar in the microwave for 3 minutes without the metal clips to warm the gnocchi and release the vacuum, making them ready to enjoy.
The herbs and flavors added to the gnocchi in the jar make this recipe delicious and fragrant. Be sure to freeze the gnocchi for about 30 minutes before using them to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.

Steps
- 1
In one of the 3 jars, add the olive oil and finely diced shallot.
- 2
Microwave the jar without the lid for 2 minutes at 750 watts.
- 3
Divide the shallot and oil mixture evenly among the 3 jars. Add the tomato puree, a pinch of salt, oregano, and the gnocchi (which should be frozen for at least 30 minutes before preparing the recipe to prevent them from falling apart during cooking). Mix well.
- 4
Clean the rims of the jars, close them with the lid, gasket, and metal clips. Cook one jar at a time in the microwave for 5 minutes at 750 watts.
- 5
Let the jar rest for 20 minutes so the gnocchi finish cooking. Meanwhile, cook the other two jars in sequence.
- 6
At this point, you can remove the clips and top the gnocchi with diced mozzarella, which will melt from the heat, or return the jar to the microwave without the lid and use the grill function for 30 seconds to melt the cheese. Enjoy!
