I love daal, so I tried this to nice spicy, flavorful and delicious recipe of paratha with stuffing of dal, turned to dal rolls. Is crispy, and tempting. This is like chur chur naan.. Just need to apply butter on it.

I love daal, so I tried this to nice spicy, flavorful and delicious recipe of paratha with stuffing of dal, turned to dal rolls. Is crispy, and tempting. This is like chur chur naan.. Just need to apply butter on it.
Steps

Wash and soak dal for 30 mins. And cook in pressure cooker with less water. In hand crusher, add garlic, ginger, chilli, coriander and cumin seeds & make paste. Heat ghee in a pan and add grated onion, cook till light brown and water absorbs.

Then add prepared paste of garlic, ginger, chilli, cumin and coriander and cook for 2 mins, will be crispy and absorbed all water. Then add dry spices and saute for a while.

Then add cooked dal and mix well. Add some drop of ghee & salt as per taste then mix well. Simmer for 2 mins till it thickens and stick to spatula. Now add some lemon juice and mix well. Then, Spread into dish and let it cool down completely.

Now take dough and roll into rectangle shape. Spread daal mixture and roll it. Cut into 1 inch pieces and press lightly with hand.

Heat tawa and add ghee. Add some rolled stuffed roti and shallow fry both sides till brown and crispy. You need to turn twice and keep flame low to medium. Then transfer into plate and serve hot with curd.

NOTE- Even you can give another flavor with dry spices, or cook daal with Tomato puree or finely chopped, then cook with garlic and pizza or maxican seasoning, and while stuffing that, grate cheese and roll it tightly. So you can give a nice flavor and healthy dal too to ur kids. Even u can cook with tomato puree and onion and add sauted spinach or fenugreek or kasuri methi and give nice dal palakh masala or punjabi flavor with paneer and dal masala.
