Gammon and Coca Cola
I got this great recipe from the amazing Nigella Lawson.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
If your gammon is smoked like mine place it in a pot filled with water and bring it to the boil. Discard water after then we can start.
- 2
Place the gammon and pour the Coca Cola, add the onion halves and bring to boil then reduce to a simmer for 2 hours. Once cooked discard the Coca Cola. (Preheat the oven to 230 degrees.) Cool down the gammon. Remove skin with fat under and score the gammon fat.
- 3
For glaze. In an uncovered pot mix sugar and water and heat it up. Once it boils add mustard and stir. That’s it. Using half the glaze pour over “cloved” gammon. Place in oven for 10 minutes and pour rest of mixture and return to oven.

Rest gammon for 10 minutes before cutting and serving 😍

This is so easy, I sometimes ask my kids to make it. We love ice cream! It can be quite pricey, though. Making our own ice cream is fun. Cooking together is a way to create memories for the future. We are blessed to be able to connect and communicate well as a family. This recipe needs a mixer. You can also whip the cream by hand. No cooking is required! And you don't need an ice cream maker for this!#givingthanks Angela Mertoyono -

I took the pic when I was still cooking. The result should be browner with less liquid. You can always add more coca-cola if you like for more caramelized taste.I've been making this for ages. It was in the rage in the 1990s, I think. It's simple and quick. This is my (lazy) version of it. Sometimes I add tomatoes as well. Angela Mertoyono -

This recipe is from my sister and I am not sure where she got it, but I really like it. The vinegar is totally optional, but I like the sour flavor to my BBQ. Anthony
