Soft Japanese-Style Pork Steak with a Hint of Wasabi

Vinegar makes the meat soft and moist!
Try out this pork steak with a slightly different Japanese flavor!
Wasabi is volatile and may lose it's flavor if evaporated, so the key is in cooking it for a short period of time.
Prepare the flavoring ingredients beforehand and you can make everything really quickly. Recipe by Naopu
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Use a knife to make delicate cuts in the fat and muscle parts of the meat. (This is to keep it from shrinking from overcooking.) Use the flat part to pound the meat to soften.
- 2
Cover the meat with flour, shaking off any excess.
- 3
Coat a pan with oil and cook both sides until golden brown.
- 4
Add all of the flavoring ingredients and cook until the moisture has evaporated. Transfer to a plate and it's finished.

Teriyaku Pork Steaks with Shiso Vinegar Sauce Teriyaku Pork Steaks with Shiso Vinegar Sauce
We use pork offcuts a lot in our house to make sausages, meatballs and so on. This time I tried making a pork 'steak' style dish. The sweet-salty and sour sauce goes very well with pork, and it's a hit every time I serve it to my family, so I decided to upload it.You can use any kind of thinly sliced meat. I don't use much teriyaki sauce since I also use shiso vinegar sauce, but please adjust the amount to your taste. For 2 servings. Recipe by Renbasu cookpad.japan -

Sweet and Salty Pork Steak Sweet and Salty Pork Steak
I learned this recipe from my mother-in-law who is a great cook. The sweet and salty sauce will whet your appetite. Every time I make this, we run out of rice. It is a sure hit menu of my family. If you keep the meat macerated for too long or if you rub it in, the taste will be too strong so be careful. But when you don't have so much time, you can rub and grill it. Recipe by Miwamailove cookpad.japan -

Hearty Pork Steak Hearty Pork Steak
My hubby saw "Yokka-city Tonteki" (pork steak from Mie prefecture) on TV and said he wanted to try it, so I made my own version.I think thick cut pork is juicier and tastier, so I used a bock sliced about 3 cm thick. There's a lot of sauce and it's pretty rich, so use it for the cabbage and rice too. For 2 servings. Recipe by Meruchanlove cookpad.japan -
Yokkaichi Pork Steak--The Real Deal Yokkaichi Pork Steak--The Real Deal
I spend a lot of time in Yokkaichi, so this is a familiar flavor. The combination of the Worcestershire sauce and garlic is what determines the taste. For an ultimate summer treat, have it with beer!Use a well-scored pork shoulder. Pink back loin with thick white fat on the edges just doesn't have the same flavor. If it's cheaper, get a big block of shoulder meat and slice it yourself at home! The thicker the meat, the better! Rich Pork Steak Rich Pork Steak
I used to only season pork with salt and pepper, but my kids requested that I make sweet and sour-style pork so that the dish would go well with rice.Coating with katakuriko potato starch flour helps hold the delicious flavour, and makes the pork easily absorb the sauce.Since the sauce is sweet, I suggest you sprinkle a fair amount of salt and pepper on the pork. The taste becomes balanced and delicious.Using black vinegar instead of vinegar gives a more Chinese flavour to the dish. Recipe by Hana tomato cookpad.japan -
