Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 4whole pomfret fish
  2. 2 tbspgramflour (besan)
  3. 2 tspgarlic paste
  4. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  5. 2 tspred chilli powder
  6. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  7. 1 tspcoriander powder
  8. 1 tbspwhite vinegar
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. Oil for pan frying
  11. leavesFor garnish... Chaat masala, chopped coriander

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Clean and wash fish,Pat dry. Make few gashes(slits) on it. keep aside.

    In a bowl take vinegar, gramflour, garlic paste and all the powdered spices and mix. Apply mixture on the fish and in between the gashes. Marinate it for 1/2 hr or more.

    Heat little oil in a nonstick pan, put marinated whole fish one at a time and shallow fry on low to medium heat. Cook well on both sides.

    When ready to serve sprinkle some Chaat masala over fish and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve with green chutney and onions.
