Ingredients

5 members
  1. 1 kgMutton
  2. 2medium size onion
  3. 1large tomato
  4. 4cloves
  5. 2small stick cinnamon
  6. 4cardamom
  7. 2bay leaves
  8. 3 tbspghee
  9. 50 mlcoconut oil
  10. 1 tbspKashmir red chilli
  11. 2 tbspchilli powder
  12. 10 gramspoppy seed
  13. 10 piecescashew
  14. 1/2 cupcurd
  15. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  16. To tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat ghee and oil together in a cooker,add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and bay leaves..

  2. 2

    Then add finely chopped onions,saute till the onion becomes translucent.

  3. 3

    Then add ginger garlic paste, saute till the raw smell goes off and add tomato. Mix it well.

  4. 4

    Now in this stage add Kashmir red chilli powder..

  5. 5

    Before half an hour,Marinate the mutton with ginger garlic paste,curd,salt and chilli powder. Add the marinated mutton in the cooker..

  6. 6

    Soak poppy seed and cashew in Lukewarm water and grind it into paste.Dilute it with half cup of water and add to the mutton.

  7. 7

    Close the cooker and put 5 to 8 whistles or till the mutton becomes tender...
