Steps
- 1
In a bowl add poppy seeds, cashew, cinnamon powder, cardamom, cloves, black pepper and soak them in water for about half an hour.
- 2
Next, in a mixer add all the soaked item, along with one onion, ginger, garlic and chilli and make a paste. Next take a tomato and make puree in the mixer
- 3
Heat the pan, add butter, kasuri methi, and strain the onion paste and tomato puree to get a soft texture. Let the paste cook in medium flame for a while.
- 4
Next add capsicum, haldi, dhania powder, salt, sugar, milk as required and let the gravy further cook.
- 5
Lastly cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the gravy, heat for 2-3 mins and serve with hot rice or rotis/ paratha. I served it with dal tadka and vegetable paratha
