Ingredients

  • 4.5 tablespoontahini
  • 1.5 tablespoonslemon juice
  • 1/2 cupsoaked & boiled chicpeas
  • 1.5medium pod of finely chopped & garlic
  • 2 tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspooncumin powder
  • 1.5 teaspoonsalt
  • 3 tablespoonsPeri Peri nandos sause
  • As requiredPeperika

Steps

  1. 1

    Add tahini to the grinder with the lemon juice

  2. 2

    Mix for a minute then open then mix again. Repeat 2 to 3 times. This gives the tahini the creamyness for hummus.

  3. 3

    Add salt, cumin, lemon juice. Grind for a minute, then stop. Repeat 2-3 times.

  4. 4

    Add chickpeas and olive oil and grind for a minute then stop. Repeat 2-3 times.

  5. 5

    Now you have a thick paste. Taste and add lemon or olive oil if needed.

  6. 6

    To bring to store like smooth consistency add water and mix

  7. 7

    Remove from grinder and mix Peri Peri sauce and mix

  8. 8

    Chill in fridge for a few hours

  9. 9

    Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and paprika
