Steps

Wash rice and dal and boil water.

Add the dal along with salt and half of the turmeric powder.

As dal is semi boiled add rice and boil.
- 4
Now heat oil in a pan temper cumin seeds and bay leaf.
- 5
Add ginger paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.
- 6
Add cumin-coriander powder red chilli powder, salt and turmeric powder.
- 7
Now add this into the pot of Dal and rice
