Homemade Flax & Almond Crackers
Crunchy, #glutenfree, #dairyfree crackers that are high in omega 3 oils. Really delicious but best topped with something or dipped into something. The perfect vehicle for smashed avocado when you’re not eating all the bread! #lunchideas

Add all your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly.

Add the water a bit at a time until your dry mix starts to clump together then use your hands to make into a ball. Add more water if it’s too dry, add more flax if too sticky. The dough shouldn’t be sticky.

Roll the dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper. Use your hands to shape the dough into a rectangle.

Use a large knife to score the dough into crackers then transfer the sheet to a baking tray.

Bake at 180 C for about 20 mins until just starting to brown on the edges. They don’t harden up much on cooking so try and wait until they feel firm to bring them out.

Cool and top with your favourite spread.
