Steps

Cut spinach bundles in very small pieces, add them in warm water with 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder, wash well and drain out excessive amount of water.

Cut onion into long slices (julienne).

Add the spinach, remaining 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, salt, rice flour, onion and gram flour in plate. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water and mix well to make batter and making sure the batter holds and is not flowing.

Place a flat pan on medium flame and add oil. Once the oil is hot, place the batter on the pan in small amounts and flatten them. After 2 minutes, flip them and allow to cook for 2 more mins, repeat till batter is done with.

Palanga saga bhaja is ready and serve it with fresh curd.
