Ingredients

20-25 mins
4 servings
  1. 2 cupsgrated beetroot
  2. 1 litremilk
  3. 1 tablespoonpure cow ghee
  4. 1 tablespoongranulated sugar
  5. 1 tablespooncondensed milk
  6. 1/4 th cup grated khoya (optional)
  7. 3-4cardamom crushed
  8. 2 tablespoonscrushed cashew
  9. 2 tablespoonsraisins
  10. Pinchsalt

Cooking Instructions

20-25 mins
  1. 1

    Grate the beetroot in a container.

  2. 2

    Boil milk and reduce it to half the amount.

  3. 3

    Add the beetroot in the milk and stir.

  4. 4

    Cook it till all the beetroot absorbs the milk and milk gets reduced and thickened.

  5. 5

    Add condensed milk and cardamom.

  6. 6

    Add the khoya if you want. It will increase the richness of the dessert. (Optional)

    Add a pinch of salt and sugar to enhance the flavor and stir.

  8. 8

    Add the cashews and raisins at the end and stir for 5 mins until it combines altogether.

  9. 9

    Cook till milk gets totally absorbed.

  10. 10

    Serve hot or cold.
