Ingredients

20 minutes
5 servings
  • 2 each capsicum rings of red, yellow and green colour
  • For vada layer-
  • 1/2 cupmoong dal washed and soaked
  • 1 cupurad dal washed and soaked
  • 4green chillies
  • 1" piece of ginger
  • to tasteSalt
  • For chaat preparation:
  • (Quantity of below items as per our taste and liking)
  • 1 tspChaat masala
  • As neededFine Sev
  • As neededSev
  • As neededBeaten curd
  • As neededSpicy peanuts
  • As neededPomegranate pearls
  • As neededThick sweet chutney
  • As neededGreen chutney
  • 1/4 tspKashmiri red chilli powder

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak both the dals for 4-5 hours. Grind all the ingredients of the vada layer in the mixture.

    Make a smooth batter from it, add little water if needed while grinding.

  3. 3

    Heat a non-stick pan. Keep the capsicum rings on the pan.

  4. 4

    Now put the batter of vada and cover fully inside the ring!

    Shallow fry the rings from both the sides and make it a bit crispy!

    Assembling-
    In a dish first make a layer of capsicum vadas. Pour the curd on it.

  7. 7

    The pour thick sweet chutney. Add green chutney on it.

    Sprinkle the chaat masala and red chilli powder over it.

  9. 9

    Garnish with fine Sev, spicy peanuts and pomegranate pearls. Your yummy chaat is ready to be served.
