Take 1 cup urad dal and 3 cups rice wash and soak them for 7-8 hours. After that make smooth batter by adding little water in blender and take out in vessel and put some methi dana(fenugreek seeds)into the prepared batter. Now cover it and put idli batter into some hot temperature for better fermentation.after some hours batter will be risen and fermented and ready to make idlis.Add salt as per taste and eno(fruit salt)oil and mix well.

For making coconut chutney,take coconut shredded fresh peeled,green chillies,ginger,garlic(optional),coriander leaves,roasted gram,salt,yoghurt and blend into smooth chutney.

Chutney is ready to serve with idlies.

Preheat steamer by adding water. Now grease idli mould with oil and pour batter. Allow idlis to cook on medium-high flame for about 15 minutes.switch off the flame after that and our idlis are ready to serve with sambhar chutney.
