Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 1/2 cupsplit bengal gram (chanadal) soaked
  3. 1 cupclarified butter
  4. 1 cupsugar
  5. 3whole cardamom
  6. 1 inchcinnamon
  7. 5cloves
  8. 1bay leaf
  9. 1/4 tspcardamom powder
  10. 1/4 tspnutmeg powder
  11. 8-10saffron strands
  12. 2 tbspwarm milk
  13. 1 tspraisins
  14. 8-10cashewnuts
  15. 8-10pistachios
  16. 8-10almonds
  17. 8-10dry coconut slice

Steps

  1. 1

    Soaked rice and chana dal separately for ½ hour. Boil rice separately. Pressure cook chana dal for 3 whistle and cool completely,add sugar mix gently.

    Add saffron to warm milk and keep aside.

    Heat ghee in pan saute dry fruits and keep aside. Now add Khada masala and dry coconut slice and saute for 1 minute add chanadal - sugar mixture stir gently on low to medium flame for 4-5 minutes. add saffron milk, rice, dry fruits, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder mix gently cover lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low medium flame.

    Add saffron milk, rice, dry fruits, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder mix gently cover lid and cook for 3-4 minutes on low medium flame.
