Cooking Instructions

Roast all the ingredients of the bhaja masala well. This masala is a very key ingredient for the chop.
- 2
Next, mash up the boiled veggies but don’t make them like a paste. Keep them coarse.
- 3
Heat oil in a pan and to the heated oil add ginger- chilli paste and then put in the mashed veggies.
- 4
Mix and then add in the masala, chilli powder, salt, peanuts and mix it well.
- 5
Let the water in veggies dry up completely. This will come together as a mass. Take it off the flame and cool it.
- 6
Divide the mixture and shape it as you please.
- 7
Make thin slurry of cornflour and water and. Dip the chops in the batter and then roll it in bread crumbs.
- 8
Keep the crumb coated chops in the fridge for sometime.
- 9
Fry in hot oil and serve them hot with ketchup or green chutney

Chinese 5 Spice Chinese 5 Spice
I had been wanting to post a separate recipe featuring this spice blend for quite a while. I finally have the chance to do so today and in my humble opinion, this is a very underrated spice blend. Which I always wonder why. Not only you can use this on various Chinese dishes, but you can also use it as a BBQ rub or even in cakes. Once you start making your own spice blend, you will never go back to those store-bought ones. Daniel Lim -
